Chrissy Teigen Welcomes Baby Boy via Surrogate

The cookbook author and supermodel announced today that she and her husband, John Legend have welcomed their fourth child, named Wren Alexander Stephens through a surrogate. Their baby boy was born on June 19. Teigan shared that her son is forever connected to the surrogate by giving him the middle name Alexander, a tribute to their surrogate Alexandra, who carried him.

She revealed how she didn’t think she could carry another child after losing their son Jack in 2020. The couple began the surrogacy process in 2021 and it was during this time that Chrissy decided to give IVF one more try. Luckily, she became pregnant with daughter Esti Maxine Stephens, who was born this January. During Teigen’s pregnancy, they also found out their surrogate, Alexandra, was pregnant with their son.

“As we crept toward the safe zone of my own pregnancy, we were overjoyed to learn Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy,” she writes. “Our little boy.”

She praised Alexandra for “how much she gave up of her own body — surgeries to get scar tissue cleared, the mental toll it takes to go through all of that for yourself, much less for other people.”

Chrissy Teigen and singer John Legend is now a family of four including Baby Wren, big sisters Esti and Luna Simone, 7, as well as big brother Miles Theodore, 4.
