Madonna’s Health Scare

Singer and legend Madonna was admitted to the hospital for a bacterial infection that scared her family into thinking they might lose her. The 64-year-old was found unresponsive in New York on Saturday, and rushed to the ICU where she was reportedly intubated overnight.

Madonna’s family feared the worst and thought they “may lose her.” Her family claims that this health scare was a wake up call to the singer as she has been pushing herself extremely hard to prepare for her Celebration tour.

On Wednesday, her manager Guy Oseary announced that she was suffering from a ‘serious bacterial infection. Madonna has been discharged after several days from staying in intensive care. 

Her highly anticipated Celebration tour, across North America and Europe, was set to kick off in less than three weeks, but is now postponed. The tour is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her breakout single, Holiday and is Madonna’s 12th concert tour.

Oseary said that the Queen of Pop’s health was improving and that she is “expected to make a full recovery,” but did not say whether new tour dates might be unveiled anytime soon.
