Taylor Swift Era Tour Drama

Taylor Swift Era Tour Drama

If there’s one person that can break the record for most tickets ever sold for an artist in a single day, it would be Taylor Swift. Swifties across the world showed up and did not disappoint when Taylor Swift announced her Eras tour last October. More than 2 million presale tickets were sold on the first day of its presale alone, and the tour is projected to generate $591 million in sales.

Getting your hands on a pair of Taylor Swift tickets is definitely difficult, so fans have resorted to social media to stay in the know. But what became the talk of her Eras tour was drama involving the pop star and a security guard. The viral video surrounding Taylor Swift calling out a security guard circulated all over Tiktok. Midway through her singing “Bad Blood” at the Philadelphia show, she is seen scolding a security guard. She says, “She’s fine! She wasn’t doing anything!” Swift then starts to walk away from that part of the stage before turning back and yelling, “Hey! Stop!” Swift then continued the song before adding in another quick, “Hey, stop.”

It was unclear what exactly happened since there were different angles of the incident on tiktok. The explanation finally came from TikTok user caityg33, who Swift defended in viral videos. According to her, the security guard “harassed” their group because they were “touching the rail” and dancing. Swift noticed the security guard’s behavior and told him to stop. He was then escorted out of the concert and caityg33’s group was offered free tickets to another Eras Tour show.

Despite that incident, Taylor Swift continues her Eras Tour with grace and has now unveiled an additional nine dates — one in Los Angeles, and eight across Europe.
