What to Expect From And Just Like That Season 2

If you’re a fan of Sex and the City and watched the series And Just Like That, which
caused quite the controversy amongst fans and critics, then you might have already
heard that there’s a season 2, which will premiere on June 22, 2023 on HBO Max.

In late March, HBO confirmed the show would be returning. “I am delighted and excited
to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters – played by these powerful,
amazing actors. The fact is, we’re all thrilled,” executive producer Michael Patrick King
said in a statement. “And Just like That… our Sex life is back.”

Here’s what to expect for Season 2 of And Just like That:

Kim Cattrall will return with a short cameo.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis are all returning for Season 2,
but fans were dying to know about Kim Cattrall’s appearance. It has now been
confirmed that she will appear—but only for one scene. While the show premieres this
month in June, Cattrall’s scene won’t air until August. No spoilers here so you’ll just
have to watch and see what happens.

John Corbett is set to appear as Carrie’s ex-fiancé, Aidan.

Fans are probably thrilled to hear that John Corbett’s Aidan Shaw will reunite with
former love Carrie Bradshaw. Corbett’s Aidan was one of two notable Sex and the City
fan favorite characters that did not appear in the first season of And Just Like That…,
along with Kim Cattrall’s Samantha. If you’ve watched the first season of And Just Like
That, then you know what happened to Big. So this second season should be
interesting now that Aidan is in the picture and Carrie’s storyline will most likely revolve
around the couple’s reunion.

The plot will focus more on the characters together.

Parker, Nixon, and Davis are all coming back as Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte,
respectively. But director Michael Patrick King shared that one of his goals for the new
season is to “bring all the characters into the mix together, so that they’re not so much
on separate runways.”

In preparation of the sequel, if you haven’t already, make sure you watch the first
season of And Just Like That, so you will be caught up for the premiere. The Second
season will contain eleven episodes and they will air weekly on Thursdays on Max
(formerly HBO Max).
